The Big Day

The Big day                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            A beautiful bride finishes getting ready for her big day, her wedding day. But meanwhile her very late father races in his car through the countryside to walk her down the isle. As time flies the bride starts to get anxious as she nervously waits for her father to arrive, time is ticking and her father’s drenched in water Volkswagen is speeding past the limit. Then a train brings him to a halt, he angrily shouts and is extremely frustrated. The lace covered bride try’s to find any flaws in her appearance as she waits patiently. Fixing her earrings, a man walks in and tells her they can no longer wait. She sighs with great disappointment as she exits her dressing room. Her father rushes to the church and as he arrives he slams on his brakes as soon as his tires reach the chapel parking lot. He runs at top speed and enters the chapel. He stares in disappointment and disbelief for he is to late, there his little girl stands in a white gown, holding the hands of her soon to be husband. She looks with sadness and frustration, her father takes his seat in shock, and within a few more minutes she is now a married young woman. At the reception, no words are spoken between the two and her father says nothing to the fellow guests. The heart aching reality is too much to bear for the youthful bride and memories fill her head.   She remembers all of the times that her dad missed big moments in her life, her ballet recital, her first big role in a musical, her 16th birthday, when she got her first car, her prom, her high school graduation, and now half of her wedding. Forgiveness was the last thing on her mind, and he knew this was something she could never let go of. No one knows if there was peace because they got married next to a volcano, it erupted, they became covered in lava, and now you can visit them in a museum located in Hawaii.
