Captain Richard Phillips, Chief engineer Mike Perry, Muse (pirate leader), other pirates, and other people on the ship.
2. Briefly, in 2-3 paragraphs, tell me what you expect the plot to be in the movie, based on the real life events? I expected it to be about a guy who worked on a ship as the captain and ended up running into some pirates and they war having to fight them. But I never guessed that Captain Phillips would be taken by the pirates.
3. Why was this story important?
It showed how pirates are still out there today and how dangerous they are, they show no mercy because they are consumed with greed. It also showed how sailors and cargo ship workers jobs can be very dangerous and they have to be prepared for situations like that.
4. Why did the pirates try to take the ship?
They wanted the money that was on the ship and wanted the ship for themselves and the crew. Along with the supplies that the ship was planning on delivering to specific parts of Africa.

I don't think she should still be in the news, she just creates unnecessary drama and makes a big deal out of it to get famous.
Short Answer: Nepal....what a tragedy. Read the story on page A3 "Nepalese.."
I feel incredibly bad for Nepal, they now have to rebuild their lives along with their homes. I know what its like to loose your home because I lost mine in the Bastrop wildfires, and it was hard for me to try and pick up the pieces and build a new life. I can't imagine the amount of fear they had as their houses crumbled and their little piece of comfort was gone.
